View out the windows

So what are the lights on? They look like they are just floating in space.

They're on the tree in our living room -- reflected in the window.

I thought it looked even cooler earlier, when it was still light out and you could see the leafless maple tree outside with the lights suspended in it.

You can't see it in the photograph (maybe I'll try another one tonight) but you can actually see the lights in several distinct planes. That is because the window is double glass and on the left hand picture there is also a storm window.

I held my hand up in front of the window just now (the sun is shining in) and I could actually see three instances of my hand in the reflection caused by the three planes of glass.
