Birds in the Peruvian jungle

Some of the people on the trip were serious birders. I'm not - I like to look at birds and photograph them but I don't care about identifying them or adding them to my lifetime list. This was a great opportunity to see lots of birds. They provided us with a list of possible birds (common name and scientific name); almost every day we went through the list and checked off what birds were seen (some people of course only checking off the ones they had seen). My list of all recorded birds has 49 out of ~400 possible ones. The list also had mammals, insects, reptiles and amphibians of which I had 28 checked off out of the ~200 possibilities.
