Conques - Mon, Oct 9: Fog lifted to yet another sunny day. Talked a bit with Gerard and Madame - Gerard showed us her new house, Bathroom had a tub & bidet and sink; WC had a WC; bedrooms had sink. Italian tile floor and walls - wow! Lots of plants even though the house is new. Gerard also building a house - across the street next to the other hotel.
One last walk up to the village - all is quiet again today - some of the sad old guys sitting around as usual.
Drove through the most incredible scenery: Espalion, Estaing... Massif Central amazing terrain - gorges - winding roads up and down. A little pasture side spot for lunch. Night in Les Vans.
